I love reading and like many people I wish I could find time to read more of the amazing books that are out there. In #1 New York Times bestseller Gretchen Rubin’s post “13 tips for getting more reading done” she explains the tips that she uses to get more reading into her everyday life.

5. Get calm. I have a sticky note posted in our bedroom that says, “Quiet mind.” It’s sometimes hard for me to settle down with a book; I keep wanting to jump up and take care of some nagging task. But that’s no way to read. Incidentally, one of the main reasons I exercise is to help me sit still for reading and writing — if I don’t exercise, I’m too jumpy.

I also find it hard to settle my mind down to concentrate on a book, my mind tends to wander to what job I need to do next.
